ARC Nutrition Plan

The goal of Our Nutrition Plan is threefold:

  1. To maximize the results of your hormone supplementation program
  2. To prevent illnesses such as heart disease, type II diabetes, and cancer
  3. To boost the body's natural immune function

Maximizing Hormone Supplementation Therapy

Our nutritional plan is designed to keep blood sugar as low as possible (but within the normal healthy range), as this is crucial for the management of insulin. Adding human growth hormones to the body increases levels of IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1). IGF-1 affects almost every cell in the human body, particularly cells in muscle, cartilage, bone, liver, kidney, nerves, skin, and lungs. In addition to the insulin-like effects, IGF-1 also plays a part in the regulation of cell growth and development. The excess presence of insulin actually decreases this essential IGF-1 production. Hormone supplementation therapy, blood sugar and insulin management will help to achieve and maintain the IGF-1 levels in your body critical to your health and fitness.

Boosting the Body's Immune Function

The body's immune system is miraculous. When given the proper nutrients, it can fend off colds, bacteria, viruses, and even cancer without you even being aware that such battles are being fought - and won - inside your body. By consistently eating a diet high in phyto-nutrients (plant nutrients), essential fats, lean protein, and fiber, we can provide our body with all the tools it needs to fight off foreign invaders, repair tissues, and maintain optimum health.

As part of the ARC Health program, we offer instruction on a comprehensive low-glycemic diet complete with menu ideas and strategies for turning what may be a lifetime of previous poor choices into a future of nourishment and wellness!

Nutritional Supplements

Coenzyme Q10 is essential for optimum health, but if you are taking a cholesterol-lowering drug you may be deficient. CoQ10 is a powerful anti-oxidant with many research trials proving that it is highly beneficial in cardiac protection, improvement in symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome as well as anti-cancer properties. If you are taking a statin (cholesterol-lowering) drug it is ESSENTIAL that you supplement with this to maintain your health

Because natural foods, including fruits and vegetables, have been depleted of essential nutrients through modern agricultural, shipment, and preservation techniques, ideal health demands that we must also supplement our basic micro and macro-nutrients.

Preventing Illness

Many of the leading causes of death in this country such as heart disease, type II diabetes, cancer, and many others can be directly linked to poor dietary choices. The easy availability, mass production, and marketing of inexpensive convenience foods have lead to an average American diet overloaded with:

  1. sugars
  2. trans-fats
  3. refined flour
  4. saturated fats
  5. preservatives
  6. artificial colors
  7. artificial flavors and sweeteners
  8. antibiotic and pesticide residues
  9. many other substances toxic to the body

Over time, this continued barrage of chemicals and empty calories leads to decreased health and ultimately illness. Cutting out foreign chemicals and adding nutrient-dense foods into the diet can work wonders for those seeking optimal health.

Nutritional Supplements

The addition of optimum amounts of nutritional supplements is a cornerstone of any comprehensive preventive and restorative health program.  It is VERY difficult to get the adequate amount of nutrients from the average American diet in order to achieve and maintain a peak level of health. Inadequate amounts of essential vitamins and minerals can bring about a barrage of physiological and psychological maladies.

Boosting the body's immune system through proper diet and nutrients.
